Gurney’s Resorts & Seawater Spa in Montauk, NY, seeks a Director of Spa & Wellness to oversee the Seawater Spa and wellness programs. The role leads spa operations, drives guest experiences, and steers strategies for revenue growth and retail profitability.

Ideal candidates bring luxury spa leadership, a background in hospitality management, and strong financial acumen. This full-time, year-round position reports to the General Manager and supports hotel-level wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of spa and wellness management experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership role within a luxury setting.
• Strong understanding of spa services, wellness trends, and retail management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily spa operations and wellness programs at Seawater Spa.
• Develop strategies to enhance guest experience, drive revenue, and profitability.
• Lead therapists, estheticians, retail attendants, and support staff.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote spa services and events.
• Manage scheduling, training, and development of spa and retail staff.
• Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation compliance across spa areas.
• Analyze financial performance including budgeting and forecasting.
• Stay current with wellness, beauty, and spa trends; introduce new services.
• Coordinate with engineering to address maintenance issues; oversee lifeguard operations.
