Job summary

Tempur Sealy in New Jersey is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales of Tempur-Pedic, Sealy, and Stearns & Foster products. You may cover management duties when the Store Manager is unavailable, including opening and closing the store.

You'll lead the sales process, maintain brand standards, and support merchandising and program implementation. This role requires 1-3 years retail experience and a strong, consultative selling approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years' retail experience (or equivalent education/experience) with high-end or premium products.
• Strong sales skills in a consultative environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and train others in a store setting.
• Fluency with current retail software / computer systems.
• Ability to stand for lengthy periods and lift items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining responsibility for the overall performance of the store.
• Provide leadership in all areas of the sales process, including customer service and care, maintaining a professional appearance, adhering to company policies and procedures, and upholding Tempur Sealy's brand.
• Continue to perform Retail Sales Associate responsibilities at an exceptional level.
• Assist the Store Manager in identifying deficiencies and solving problems in the store and within the sales team.
• Assist the store manager with merchandising, implementing company programs, and other needs.
• Solve problems within the sales team and direct larger issues to the Store Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
