Job summary

The h.wood Group, a Los Angeles-based luxury hospitality company, seeks a Server Assistant in Santa Monica to deliver immaculate guest service and an elegant dining experience. You will support servers, maintain cleanliness, and help anticipate guest needs in a fast-paced high-end venue.

Open availability is preferred, with a focus on teamwork, reliability, and providing outstanding customer service in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• A valid CA Certified Food Handlers card is required.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Previous experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant is preferred.
• Stand for the full shift, up to 8 hours, with lifting up to 30lbs.
• Excellent time management skills are required.
• Maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
• Be reliable, responsible, and trustworthy.
• High energy, great communication, and teamwork are essential.
• Attention to detail and exceptional customer service are expected.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate guest needs and assist servers with food & beverage service.
• Clean and reset tables, maintain cleanliness of stations and dining area.
• Move furniture as needed and wipe booths, chairs, and floors.
• Keep back-of-house areas clean and organized.
• Ensure inventory and equipment are in proper condition.
• Communicate guest needs or incidents to management and staff.
• Address spills promptly and report hazards to the team.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and opening/closing duties.
