Job summary

Neiman Marcus is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair building systems in a luxury retail environment. The role covers electrical, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and energy management, with focus on preventive maintenance and rapid response to issues.

The ideal candidate has a vocational degree in mechanical or electrical fields and 2–5 years of relevant experience, strong multitasking ability, and excellent communication with contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

• Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
• Two to Five years experience or four years apprenticeship or equivalent in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
• Background in building maintenance, electrical, and HVAC.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly preventive maintenance on all building equipment and envelope, with daily/weekly/monthly safety logs.
• Inspect facility equipment including vertical transportation, boilers, generators, and HVAC.
• Order maintenance supplies and assist Regional Manager with maintenance expenses.
• Assist with execution of capital projects.
• Manage building energy systems including lighting via Trane Ensemble Software.
• Support POS and telephone systems as needed.
• Respond to after-hours and emergency calls; overtime may be required.
• Work with limited time off between Black Friday and January 8.
