Job summary

Neiman Marcus is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep and repair of building systems in a luxury retail environment. The role covers electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, generators, and related equipment across our Fort Worth stores.

You will coordinate with the Regional Manager on capital projects, manage energy systems, and ensure safety inspections are logged. Strong multitasking and a customer-centric mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in Mechanical or Electrical field.
• Two to Five years experience or four years apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical field.
• Background in building maintenance, electrical, and HVAC.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work independently or with others.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and climb ladders.
• Strong written and verbal communication with peers, management, and vendors.
• Understanding of SDS (Safety Data Sheets).
• Self-motivated and customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly preventive maintenance on building equipment and envelope, logging inspections.
• Inspect facility equipment such as vertical transportation, boilers, generators, and HVAC.
• Order maintenance supplies and assist in managing maintenance expenses.
• Assist Regional Manager with capital planning projects.
• Maintain building energy management systems, including lighting via Trane Ensemble Software.
• Support store systems such as POS and telephone systems.
• Provide after-hours support; overtime may be required.
