Job summary

Diptyque Paris seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Washington, DC to support the Store Manager and lead the store team. This hands-on leadership position prepares future Store Managers and drives luxury client experiences, CRM initiatives, and store performance.

You will supervise opening/closing, stock and merchandising, coach team members, communicate brand updates, and uphold Diptyque's standards. Evening/weekend availability required; salary is hourly $27–$30 with potential bonus and

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of retail management experience in luxury or beauty.
Strong understanding of retail KPIs and business acumen.
Proven ability to lead teams and deliver exceptional client experiences.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Lead by example in delivering exceptional client service and luxury experiences.
Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members.
Oversee opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and adherence to policies.
Execute visual merchandising strategies and provide feedback based on sell-through.
Communicate brand updates, product launches, and market insights to the team.
Attend meetings and calls in Store Manager's absence.
