Barnsley Resort in Georgia is seeking a Merchandising Manager to lead merchandise planning, pricing, and presentation across resort retail channels. You will drive assortment strategies, negotiate with vendors, and mentor a retail team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role blends analytics with creative merchandising, collaborating with marketing and resort operations to align with brand goals and seasonal campaigns.

Qualifications

• Minimum cash handling experience and a strong retail/hospitality mindset.
• Bachelor's degree required with proven merchandising experience.
• 2–3 years of retail/hotel experience; 3–5 years buying/planning or category management preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and a creative, brand-aware approach.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Forecast seasonal profits and optimise product lines across designated areas.
• Develop merchandising plans to support marketing and promotions.
• Assist guests with merchandise and tee-time purchases.
• Handle daily cash, refunds, exchanges, and deposits.
• Stock, price, and ticket merchandise; manage inventories and monthly updates.
• Lead assortment planning and seasonal range development.
• Negotiate with vendors and manage relationships and terms.
• Coordinate with marketing, e-commerce, and resort teams for events and launches.
• Direct visual merchandising for in-store and online experiences.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity; present performance reports.
• Lead and mentor retail team members.
