Job summary

Chetola Resort is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lead all engineering, preventive maintenance, and repair operations for the Lodge and related facilities at a luxury destination in North Carolina. You will supervise the Lodge Maintenance team, coordinate capital projects, and ensure safety, beauty, and seamless operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of progressive maintenance/engineering experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs and work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day maintenance and engineering operations for the Lodge and hotel facilities.
• Supervise, coach, and develop the Lodge Maintenance team.
• Ensure guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants, spa, meeting rooms, pools, and related spaces remain in excellent condition.
• Develop a culture of preventive maintenance, craftsmanship, and guest-ready facilities.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager – Condominiums on staffing, emergencies, and capital planning.
• Oversee vendor/contractor management and safety/compliance programs.
