Job summary

Chetola Resort in North Carolina seeks a skilled Carpenter to join our Maintenance & Engineering team, performing framing, finishing, cabinetry, and repair work across the Lodge and condominiums.

You will build and install doors, windows, molding, furniture, and fixtures; maintain exterior structures; collaborate with other departments; and uphold safety and craftsmanship standards in a luxury hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Carpenter or Finish Carpenter.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing, finishing, cabinetry, trim, and wood repair across the Lodge, condominiums, and resort facilities.
• Build, install, and repair doors, windows, molding, furniture, and fixtures.
• Maintain exterior structures such as decks, railings, and siding for safety and aesthetics.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and timely repairs on woodwork and structural elements.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers and Housekeeping on guest and operational repairs.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with resort specifications.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper care of tools.
