Job summary

Jekyll Island Club Resort in Georgia is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to join our Engineering team. This hands-on role covers guest rooms, restaurants, event spaces, and public areas, focusing on painting, carpentry, drywall, plumbing, and general building maintenance while delivering guest-ready service.

The successful candidate is multi-skilled, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision in a luxury resort environment, ensuring consistent standards and guest

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience in hotel/resort engineering or facilities maintenance.
• Strong hands-on experience with painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and general building maintenance.
• Experience with guest room preventive maintenance is strongly preferred.
• Ability to complete interior and exterior painting and related finish work.
• Carpentry repairs to doors, trim, cabinetry, furniture, and woodwork.
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge for minor repairs.
• Ability to inspect guest rooms and address maintenance concerns promptly.
• Comfort working in occupied spaces and communicating with guests.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and perform repairs across guest rooms, restaurants, event spaces, and public areas.
• Conduct preventive maintenance focused on guest rooms to ensure condition and safety.
• Carefully plan and execute painting, patching, drywall, and finish work projects.
• Troubleshoot issues, select appropriate repairs, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and communicate with guests and team members.
