Description

Skilled Maintenance Engineer at Jekyll Island Club Resort

This is a hands-on, skilled maintenance position for an experienced professional with a strong background in multiple trades, including painting, carpentry, guest room preventative maintenance, drywall repair, flooring, basic plumbing, and general building maintenance.

As a Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will perform repairs and preventative maintenance throughout guest rooms, restaurants, event spaces, public areas, offices, and back-of-house facilities. You will respond to work orders, troubleshoot maintenance concerns, complete repairs efficiently, and help ensure our facilities consistently meet the standards expected of Jekyll Island Club Resort.

A major focus of this position is guest room preventative maintenance (PM). You will inspect rooms, identify maintenance needs, and complete repairs involving items such as doors, locks, hardware, furniture, walls, ceilings, fixtures, flooring, caulking, plumbing components, and other room features to help keep our accommodations in excellent condition.

The Skilled Maintenance Engineer will also perform a variety of painting and carpentry projects, including surface preparation, patching, drywall repair, touch-up and full-room painting, trim and molding repairs, door and cabinet adjustments, furniture repairs, and other finish work throughout the property.

Because this position operates within an active luxury resort, guest service is an important part of the role. You may perform work in occupied guest rooms and public areas and are expected to communicate professionally, maintain a clean and organized work area, minimize disruption, and provide friendly service when interacting with guests.

This position requires someone who can identify a problem, determine the appropriate repair, and complete quality work with minimal supervision. If you are a dependable, experienced, multi-skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys keeping a beautiful resort operating at its best, we would love to have you join the Engineering team at Jekyll Island Club Resort.
