Job summary

Ojai Valley Inn & Spa is seeking an experienced Concierge to balance guest interactions in person and via email/phone. You will craft personalized itineraries, coordinate Spa, Golf, Camp and Restaurant bookings, and extend thoughtful service aligned with Forbes and AAA standards.

Strong communication, calm demeanor, and hospitality knowledge are essential. You will support pre-arrival and in-house guests, maintain detailed knowledge of hotel offerings, and ensure accurate, confidential handling

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a customer service role.
• Experience handling high phone call volume.
• Previous customer service training.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Warm, welcoming demeanor with exceptional phone etiquette.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Calm and courteous in demanding situations.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work.
• Proficient typing and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and anticipate guest needs and expectations to AAA Five Diamond and Forbes standards.
• Outreach to incoming guests and schedule activities via phone or email.
• Promote and arrange Spa, Golf, Camp and Restaurant reservations.
• Coordinate with vendors and departments for guest requests.
• Provide welcome calls/cards upon arrival and ensure smooth itineraries.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, menus, rates and promotions.
• Post charges and assist across Front Desk and Reservations as needed.
• Assist with gift card sales and VIP/group guest arrangements.
• Ensure confidentiality of guest information and security of room access.
