Jobot in San Francisco is seeking an exceptional Director of Operations / General Manager to lead construction operations for luxury residential projects. You will partner with the CEO, oversee PMs and field teams, and shape systems for scalable growth while delivering an outstanding client experience.

You will drive operations excellence, improve scheduling and forecasting, and nurture key industry relationships to position the firm for continued expansion.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading luxury residential construction projects.
• Experience managing both Project Management and Field Operations teams.
• Proven success building operational systems within a growing organization.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience improving processes while maintaining exceptional client service.
• Ability to lead through influence, accountability, and trust.
• Comfort working in an entrepreneurial environment to scale growth.
• Experience with construction management platforms such as Procore is valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of multiple luxury residential projects from contract through closeout.
• Lead Project Managers and Field Leadership teams.
• Balance schedules, manpower, subcontractors, and resources across active projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to high quality standards.
• Resolve operational challenges before they impact clients or schedules.
• Lead superintendent teams through coaching and mentorship.
• Establish field expectations around quality and execution.
• Strengthen subcontractor partnerships and performance.
• Maintain a visible field presence and strong team relationships.
• Improve scheduling, reporting, forecasting, and PM systems.
• Develop processes supporting sustainable growth and planning.
• Lead production meetings, project reviews, and planning sessions.
• Monitor project health, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
• Partner with the CEO on strategic planning and decisions.
• Identify opportunities and remove bottlenecks to scale the business.
• Support workforce planning and market growth initiatives.
• Provide data-driven insights for decision making.
• Represent the company with architects, consultants, and trade partners.
