Job summary

FAENA New York is seeking a dedicated House Attendant to uphold the luxury presentation of public areas, back-of-house spaces, and guest corridors, while assisting Room Attendants with supplies and linens. This full-time role pays $30.00 per hour.

Candidates should have attention to detail, teamwork, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays; you will follow safety procedures and use RFID linen tracking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of cleanliness, safety, and organization standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English).

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of guest hallways, elevators, stairwells, and restrooms.
• Restock linen closets and housekeeping carts with supplies.
• Deliver requested items to guest rooms.
• Remove dirty linens and trash from guest floors.
• Report maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Follow cleaning procedures, chemical handling standards, and safety protocols.
• Assist with deep cleaning and floor care.
• Process and scan clean/soiled linens using RFID system.
• Maintain organization of housekeeping storage rooms and closets.
• Respond to guest requests with professionalism.
• Support Room Attendants to ensure room readiness.
• Maintain equipment and supplies and use them properly.
• Clean locker rooms and back/front of house restrooms.
• Remove snow from lobby and employee entrance.
• Keep lobby and mats clean in inclement weather.
• Respond to hotel emergencies or safety situations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by hotel management.
• Utilize PMS/APP systems for assignments.
• Clean main guest entrance area and adjacent plaza area.
• Remove bodily fluids with appropriate safety equipment.
• Perform shoeshine duties as requested.
• Move racks of clean linens to guest floors and stock storage daily.
• Respond to guest inquiries in the lobby and direct them accordingly.
• Pickup and deliver guest request items (irons, boards, cribs, etc.).
• Assist Housekeepers as required (move beds, furniture).
• Adhere to Employee Handbook rules and standards.
• Maintain neat personal appearance.
• Adhere to meal break policy.
