Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to oversee day-to-day operations of a luxury property in Los Angeles. This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to manage building systems to luxury standards.

You will monitor HVAC, coordinate vendors, and troubleshoot issues while maintaining property aesthetics. The position is direct hire, onsite, with a schedule that supports property needs and flexibility as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in facilities, building engineering, or related maintenance.
• Strong HVAC knowledge with ability to diagnose temperature and airflow issues.
• Experience with luxury properties fay, museums, or high-end environments preferred.
• Manual dexterity and ability to work hands-on when required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to coordinate external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems to ensure proper temperature and comfort.
• Perform routine property inspections to spot mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or cosmetic issues.
• Diagnose facility problems and select repair or vendor solutions.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance for HVAC, lighting, controls, and plumbing.
• Manage outside contractors from proposal to completion, ensuring quality and safety.
• Maintain luxury finishes, fixtures, and architectural details at high standards.
• Coordinate with IT for basic networking and smart-building tech issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve building performance and operation.
• Keep organized records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and vendor work.
• Ensure OSHA and workplace safety requirements are followed.
