Job summary

Russo Development seeks a Leasing Specialist for its Garwood, NJ property. You will work closely with the Property Manager to manage daily lease-ups, interact with prospective and current residents, and maintain a first-class experience at the community.

Responsibilities include processing applications, leases, and renewals, coordinating with maintenance for turnovers, and supporting marketing efforts to drive traffic and occupancy. A strong customer-service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School / GED required.
• 2-4 years of experience in a luxury multifamily apartment community.
• Must have strong organizational abilities, customer service skills, and an attention to detail.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Yardi experience a plus.
• Must be familiar with Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other laws governing multi-family housing operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents and provide detailed community tours.
• Process new applications and lease renewals; maintain renewal log and resident files.
• Handle signing of leases and show apartments to move-ins.
• Assist new residents during move-in; explain lease terms and community rules.
• Coordinate with maintenance for turnover, move-ins, and show-ready units.
• Inspect the community and report maintenance needs to the team.
• Address resident concerns and foster positive relationships.
• Maintain knowledge of property, sister properties, and competitors.
• Assist in marketing to increase traffic and leads.
