Job summary

Visual Comfort & Co. is seeking a Lighting Technology Designer to design, specify, and layout lighting control systems and motorized shading solutions. You will collaborate with project teams and external partners to create intelligent, responsive environments in premium residential settings.

You will produce accurate layouts, present designs to professionals, and travel for site visits. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience are required; certifications are a

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in lighting design or related field is required.
3+ years of project-based residential lighting experience required.
Licensing/certifications in lighting/control systems a plus; willingness to earn certifications.
Proficient with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel; familiarity with Dialux/AGI32 is helpful.

Responsibilities

Produce accurate system layouts for lighting control and shading solutions.
Design and document lighting control systems within Visual Comfort standards.
Present technology designs to builders, designers, architects, and integrators.
Collaborate with Business Development, Project Designers, and Project Management teams.
Serve as a technical resource for clients and internal teams.
Travel for client meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs in showroom markets.
