Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Armonk, NY is seeking a reliable Kitchen Utility Worker/Dishwasher to support a busy kitchen team in a luxury senior living community.

You will clean and sanitize dishware, cookware, and surfaces, help with meal service, and assist with stocking, cleaning, and safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in food service is helpful; physical ability to lift and stand; ability to follow instructions and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen or food prep area is preferred.
• Able to operate in a fast-paced environment and follow safety rules.
• Physical ability for strenuous cleaning and lifting.
• Ability to understand English and follow instructions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean, prep and wash dishware, silverware, glassware, pots and pans.
• Ensure chemical dispensers and cleaning supplies are adequate and safe to use.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Empty and clean garbage from kitchen to dumpster.
• Assist with heavy lifting as needed.
• Daily cleaning of kitchen equipment and surfaces.
• Monthly cleaning of all kitchen surfaces including walls and ceilings.
• Assist in dining room, remove soiled dishes during meal service.
