Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper for a Midtown Manhattan luxury jewelry boutique. The role manages day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and coordinates with ownership and outside accountant to strengthen financial processes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, advanced QuickBooks skills, payroll and NY sales tax know-how, and inventory-based accounting experience. A associate degree in accounting or finance is expected, with bookkeeping certification

Qualifications

• 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Payroll experience and NY sales tax knowledge.
• Inventory-based business accounting experience.
• Ability to document procedures and establish repeatable workflows.
• Associate degree in accounting or finance; certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping and account reconciliation.
• Inventory and operational accounting.
• Month-end close and financial reporting.
• Tax preparation and compliance support.
• Systems, procedures and internal controls documentation.
