Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional design experience required.
• Active professional membership in design associations (AIA/IDS/ASLA or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong communication skills across all levels, from designers to leadership and clients.
• Demonstrated track record managing both creative and financial performance of a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic planning for team success and project outcomes.
• Provide technical and creative direction to designers and project managers.
• Assign work across the team, balancing schedule, training, and experience.
• Develop and implement corrective action for underperforming projects or team members.
• Support hiring: review resumes, conduct interviews, and onboard new team members.
• Build and implement training processes to set new hires up for success.
• Provide regular performance reporting to leadership on schedule and financials.
• Partner with firm leadership on business development strategy and onboarding of new clients.
• Ensure team communications and documentation meet firm standards.
