Job summary

The Ace Consulting Group is seeking an enthusiastic Interior Design Sales Consultant for our luxury showroom in Chicago. You will engage with customers and designers, guide product selection, and translate their vision into compelling design outcomes.

You will build lasting relationships with homeowners and designers, prepare quotes and sales orders, and ensure a seamless experience from consultation through installation. A passion for design and outstanding service are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in interior design, home furnishings, flooring, furniture, or a luxury showroom environment preferred.
• Passion for interior design, home décor, or helping customers create beautiful spaces.
• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills.
• Comfortable managing multiple customer projects simultaneously.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to prepare quotes and sales orders.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers & designers into the showroom and provide an exceptional shopping experience.
• Help customers select area rugs, carpeting, and flooring solutions that complement their home and lifestyle.
• Provide design recommendations based on color, texture, size, functionality, and budget.
• Develop lasting relationships with homeowners, interior designers, builders, and repeat clients.
• Prepare quotes, sales orders, and follow projects from initial consultation through installation.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction after installation.
• Maintain attractive showroom displays and merchandising standards.
• Stay current on interior design trends and product knowledge.
• Achieve individual sales goals while delivering outstanding customer service.
