Job summary

Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to oversee the department in the absence of senior leadership. You will supervise, train and inspect performance of all housekeeping staff, ensuring resort standards are met and guest service remains optimal.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of housekeeping supervision experience in a luxury setting, fluent English, and strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years of housekeeping supervisor experience
• Supervisory experience in luxury resort environment
• Knowledge of AAA, Forbes and LHW standards
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemical handling; equipment use
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Fluent in English (verbal and non-verbal)
• Compute mathematical calculations
• Computer literacy
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and organize
• Ability to stay calm and resolve problems with good judgment
• Ability to follow directions thoroughly
• Ability to understand guest service needs
• Ability to work cohesively with team
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information
• Ascertain departmental training needs and provide training
• Direct staff performance and follow up with corrections

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Housekeeping department in the absence of the Executive Director and Assistant Director.
• Supervise, train and inspect performance of all housekeeping staff.
• Assist to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Report to Director of Housekeeping.
• Supervise all housekeeping staff and maintain standards.
