Job summary

Hotel Oceana Santa Monica is seeking polished servers to deliver exceptional dining experiences across our restaurant, poolside, and in-room venues. You’ll provide attentive, efficient, and personalized service in a luxury, all-suite setting with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. California food handler card and food safety certifications are required, with hotel or fine

Qualifications

• California Food Handler Card is required.
• Food safety certifications (e.g., ServSafe, RBS) required.
• Previous restaurant experience required; hotel or fine dining preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide knowledgeable menu recommendations.
• Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders into the POS system.
• Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly with proper presentation.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and anticipate needs throughout the dining experience.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and elevate when needed.
• Complete opening and closing side work.
• Support banquet and special event service, including setup and breakdown.
• Coordinate timing and service flow with kitchen and events teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked service area.
• Bus, reset, and maintain tables; follow sanitation standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership of shortages.
