Job summary

The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nashville, seeks a detail-oriented Purchasing & Receiving Agent to support purchasing, receiving, and inventory for a luxury property in Nashville. This full-time role reports to the Finance / Purchasing department and requires strong organization and cost-conscious procurement practices.

Ideal candidates will have hospitality purchasing experience, proficient Excel/Outlook skills, and a commitment to exceptional guest experiences in a luxury hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, receiving, inventory management, or related role.
• Experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Luxury hotel or Marriott experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily purchasing needs across hotel departments.
• Obtain vendor quotes, negotiate pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor purchase orders and communicate delivery updates to department leaders.
• Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against invoices and purchase orders.
• Maintain organized receiving areas and inventory locations; assist with counts and par levels.
• Support vendor relations and timely delivery for restaurant, banquet, and in-room dining operations.
