Job summary

The Hotel Hershey is seeking a Part-Time Lifeguard to ensure guest safety at the resort's swimming pool facilities. Responsibilities include enforcing rules, responding to aquatic emergencies, and maintaining pool area readiness.

Qualified applicants must be at least 16 years old and complete the Hershey program; pre-employment drug testing is required. Weekend availability and ability to work in varied weather conditions are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to swim 100 yards without resting.
• Ability to perform a feet-first surface dive to retrieve a 10 lb. brick from 8 ft. depth.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enforce swimming pool and attraction rules and safety regulations.
• Anticipate, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies.
• Monitor equipment and supplies.
• Maintain work area and surrounding environment.
• Lifeguards must maintain lifeguard and first aid skills at a “test-ready” level at all times.
• Participate in weekly lifeguard in-service training.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.
