Job summary

John Rutledge House Inn in Charleston is seeking an experienced Innkeeper/Hotel Manager to uphold the property’s world-class reputation for hospitality and luxury. You will oversee Front Desk/Concierge, Bell Staff, Guest Services, and maintenance of the physical plant.

The role requires at least two years of hotel management experience, preferably in a luxury setting, along with strong organizational and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of management experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a luxury property.
• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
• Ability to supervise teams and maintain high service standards.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and hotel management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Front Desk/Concierge, Bell Staff, and Guest Services to ensure service standards.
• Review arrivals, assist with check-ins/outs, and manage third party reservations.
• Supervise staff, prepare payroll, and monitor daily operations and inventory.
• Inspect property for deficiencies and ensure smooth daily operations.
