Job summary

The Historic Davenport Hotel, Autograph Collection in Spokane seeks a creative Event Planning Manager to coordinate all aspects of events from planning to execution and ensure unforgettable guest experiences.

You will serve as liaison between customers and hotel sales, provide direction during events, and assist on-site with problem solving, group logistics, and billing to deliver seamless meetings and banquets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
• 1 year of food and beverage experience is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and contract interpretation skills.
• Developed business communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
• Professional appearance and confident demeanor.
• Effective communication with public and team members.
• Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with major Hospitality Sales CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of events from initial planning to execution.
• Act as liaison between customer and hotel sales to provide direction during events.
• Be available during events to solve problems and suggest alternatives.
• Directly serve group and catering customers, handling logistics of room blocks, food & beverage, public meeting space, and billing.
