Job summary

InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown is seeking a friendly server to welcome guests, seat them promptly and assist with payment processing. You will help maintain a smooth dining flow and ensure a high standard of service in a luxury hotel setting.

Excellent communication, cash handling and multitasking are essential. You may assist with take-out orders or room service and will collaborate with other departments to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• 6 months cash handling experience or food service experience.
• Ability to perform open/close tasks and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and seat them, balancing workload.
• Receive payments and process transactions; balance cash at close.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments.
• May take-out orders or room service and up-sell.
• May assist with opening tasks and guest requests.
