Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly and attentive bartender to serve guests at The Historic Cavalier Hotel and Beach Club in Virginia Beach. You will maintain a clean bar, stock beverages and garnishes, and prepare drinks following standard recipes.

You will greet guests, take and fulfill drink orders, and ensure accurate cash handling at the POS. Adherence to state and corporate alcohol service regulations is required, along with the ability to stand for extended periods and work as part

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and POS.
• Manual dexterity to garnish, handle glassware and stock.

Responsibilities

• Maintains bar setup and stocking of beer, wine, spirits, and supplies.
• Prepares garnishes, juices, and perishable items daily.
• Greets guests, takes orders, and presents drinks using standard recipes.
• Complies with all state, federal, and corporate alcohol service requirements.
• Inputs orders into POS and processes checks for guests.
• Receives cash, gives change, verifies charges, balances cash.
