Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality seeks a seasoned General Manager for a five-star property on Park Avenue in Manhattan’s NoMad district, opening early 2027. You will oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring gracious hospitality and seamless service in collaboration with the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hospitality experience in a General Manager or senior management role within a high-volume setting.
• Two-year associate degree (60 credit hours) in Hospitality, Business, etc. or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong guest service foundation, ability to coach, build a team, problem solve, and leadership skills required.
• Demonstrated financial acumen with P&L statements, annual budgets, forecasting, COGS, and labor models.
• Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient with computers (Microsoft Products), POS, and technology.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily activities of front-of-house operations and team members in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Interacts with guests, team members, and supervisors to ensure gracious hospitality.
• Leads interviewing, hiring, and training new applicants.
• Oversee scheduling, growth opportunities, and development of front-of-house staff.
• Responsible for front-of-house performance reviews with the Director of Operations.
• Oversee front-of-house operations to ensure quality, safety, beverage accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.
• Supervise service, catering, take-out, and all events.
• Maintain awareness of payroll, inventory, and purchasing systems.
