Job summary

D.S. & Durga is a Brooklyn fragrance house seeking a Sales Associate to represent the brand on the floor. You will greet customers, build connections, and guide selections with product expertise, ensuring a memorable in-store experience across luxury offerings.

The role emphasizes selling skills, clienteling, and maintaining brand standards while supporting store operations, opening/closing duties, and achieving sales goals in a dynamic, fragrance-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in retail or hospitality, preferably with luxury products.
• Proven selling and customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with retail POS and CRM software preferred.
• Ability to work flexible retail schedule including holidays, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales through in-store efforts and outreach including clienteling and networking activities.
• Work with the team to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Provide exceptional customer service experience by assisting customers and satisfying/exceeding their needs.
• Demonstrate an excellent product and brand knowledge.
• Follow the established steps of selling and providing unique brand and product experience.
• Responsible for opening and closing the store, inventory control and LP standards.
• Assist customers and troubleshoot customer service issues when necessary.
• General daily upkeep of the store and special projects as needed.
