Job summary

Summit International Flooring, a 23‑year‑old luxury and sustainable flooring importer and distributor, seeks a service‑oriented team member to support sales reps, designers, and customers from our Whippany, NJ location.

You will learn products, handle sample requests, manage costs and certifications, and assist in market approaches while working with a diverse sales force and occasional trade shows.

Qualifications

• Solid employment record of at least two years in a service role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Well-versed in Word, Excel, and Google Docs.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or accounting software (helpful).
• Familiarity with CRM (helpful).
• Ability to work in small groups with all kinds of people.
• Willing to be available at all hours due to the service aspect of selling luxury products.

Responsibilities

• Learn products and how to present them in-person and virtually.
• Reply to incoming requests for samples or information.
• Respond to sales representatives requests.
• Keep product costs organized and up to date.
• Keep product certifications organized.
• Learn our distribution and how we approach the market.
• Get to know our sales force of employees and independent agents, and how to support and manage them.
• Help with customer service overflow, sending estimates and invoices.
• Help with sample shipments, as necessary to uphold our high level of service.
• Represent the company at occasional trade shows.
• Occasionally travel with sales representatives, teaching and coaching them.
