Job summary

Hotel Nikko San Francisco is seeking an Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to support the Director in overseeing daily F&B operations across outlets and banquets. You will lead shifts, mentor managers, and ensure exceptional guest experiences in a luxury setting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in F&B with leadership experience in upscale hospitality, plus strong budgeting and service-management skills. This role is on-site with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in food and beverage, with 3+ in leadership, preferably luxury hotel.
• Strong knowledge of F&B operations: restaurants, banquets, catering, bar management.
• Proven budget management, cost control, and financial analysis skills.
• Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong guest service orientation with issue resolution track record.
• Knowledge of industry trends, standards, and best practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day outlet and banquet service as Manager on Duty.
• Lead shifts across restaurants, bars, in-room dining, and events with proper staffing.
• Provide leadership during high-volume periods and VIP events.
• Maintain service standards, cleanliness, and staff engagement across outlets and banquets.
• Collaborate with outlet, banquet, culinary, and sales teams for seamless operations.
• Mentor and develop outlet and banquet leadership teams.
• Assist in managing department budget and monitor costs to target profitability.
• Ensure guest experiences meet high standards and address guest concerns promptly.
