Job summary

InterContinental The Clement Monterey on Cannery Row, Monterey, CA is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead Restaurant, Room Service, Bar/Lounge, Mini Bar and Banquet operations. This role emphasizes guest service, revenue growth, and building a high‑performing team in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of Food & Beverage and/or Banquet Management experience in a luxury environment or equivalent.
• 2- or 4-year degree or certification in Hospitality or equivalent experience.
• Extensive F&B knowledge including service standards, presentation, and dining etiquette.
• Strong leadership, coaching, interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while remaining organized and focused.
• Understanding of financial controls, inventory, labor management, budgeting, and revenue optimization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn hotel and F&B systems.
• Ability to adapt to changing business demands while remaining guest-focused.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Food & Beverage outlet and banquet operations.
• Mentor, coach, train, and develop managers, supervisors, and associates to achieve guest and staff satisfaction.
• Maintain a strong floor presence and regularly engage with guests and associates.
• Ensure exceptional food, beverage, presentation, and service standards across all outlets and banquets.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and identify opportunities to improve the guest experience.
• Partner with the Executive Chef and hotel leadership on menus, events, inventory, purchasing, and operational needs.
• Support banquet events from planning through successful execution.
• Help maximize F&B revenue while monitoring labor, costs, and other financial objectives.
• Develop promotions and ideas to increase revenue and enhance the F&B experience.
• Recruit and develop F&B associates to ensure peak performance.
• Build relationships with guests, clients, vendors, and community partners.
