Job summary

InterContinental The Clement Monterey is seeking a warm, hospitality-driven Full-Time Host to join C’ Restaurant & Bar. You will warmly greet guests, manage seating and reservations, and support barista duties while learning our beverage program.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of restaurant/guest service experience, a high school diploma, and excellent communication. Flexible availability including weekends/holidays is required. Health benefits and more may be offered.

Qualifications

• One year of restaurant and/or guest service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• California Food Handler Card preferred.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide professional seating.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating rotation.
• Answer calls and assist guests with reservations and questions.
• Coordinate with servers, kitchen, and management to anticipate guest needs.
• Maintain an organized and welcoming host area.
• Assist with barista duties (coffee/tea beverages).
• Upsell and recommend menu items; learn guest preferences.
