Job summary

Alila Ventana Big Sur is seeking a seasoned Food & Beverage leader to oversee day-to-day operations across outlets. You will manage budgets, drive profitability, and lead a team to deliver exceptional service in a luxury hotel setting.

You will collaborate with culinary teams to create innovative menus, ensure compliance with health standards, and elevate guest satisfaction while mentoring staff and aligning with sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a food and beverage leadership position, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene and sanitation regulations.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Basic computer skills for managing inventory and reporting.
• Certification in food safety or sanitation (preferred).
• Strong financial acumen and knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in food and beverage management software and tools.
• Certification in food safety and alcohol service (Food Handler’s & Responsible Beverage Service)

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets.
• Ensure consistent quality in food, beverage, and service standards.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Develop and implement efficient workflows and procedures.
• Prepare and manage the F&B department budget and cost controls.
• Monitor financial performance and drive profitability and revenue growth.
• Recruit, train, and mentor F&B staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Schedule staff to ensure optimal coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
• Collaborate with chefs and culinary teams to curate menus and beverage selections.
• Respond to guest feedback and resolve issues to enhance satisfaction.
• Stay updated on industry trends and partner with departments on initiatives.
