Highgate Hotels in the Dallas–Fort Worth area seeks a Catering Sales Manager to drive social and corporate events, including weddings, galas, and holiday parties. You will solicit new business, manage inquiries, and convert opportunities into bookings while coordinating planning with clients and hotel departments.

The role requires 2+ years in wedding or catering sales, strong negotiation and relationship skills, and knowledge of luxury wedding trends in the DF Fort Worth market.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in wedding sales, catering sales, luxury hospitality, or social event management.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of luxury wedding trends in Dallas/Fort Worth is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Drive sales for social and corporate events including weddings, rehearsals, galas and holidays.
• Solicit new business and promptly respond to inquiries to confirm profitable events.
• Manage inquiries, qualify leads, conduct site tours, and convert opportunities to bookings.
• Negotiate with clients via creative proposals to maximize revenue and meet contractual obligations.
• Maintain client relationships through planning, ensuring event details are executed.
• Plan or participate in meetings with hotel staff and clients (resume/BEO/planning visits/menu tastings).
• Build relationships with wedding planners, designers, photographers, and other luxury partners.
• Stay informed on industry trends and suggest enhancements to offerings and guest experiences.
• Collaborate across Catering, Conference Services, Culinary, Banquets, Rooms, and Marketing for top execution.
• Keep supervisor informed of issues and complete required reports timely.
• Know meeting room setups, sleeping room configurations, and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Leverage Partnership Agreement to meet client needs.
• Have knowledge of all hotel operations including guest services, reservations, and engineering.
• Interact with outside planners and vendors for event setup.
• Maintain pricing integrity and propose upscale menus for clients.
• Manage existing accounts and re-solicit for future business.
• Coordinate with F&B managers to address issues as they arise.
• Manage the function diary and optimize space for revenue.
• Be on the floor to assist staff during functions.
• Contribute to departmental and hotel training sessions.
• Use client feedback to improve service and quality.
