YOU WILL BE: The Restaurant Server serves Neiman Marcus customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner consistent with the high standards set by Neiman Marcus.
What You Will Do
- Serve assigned seating section of dining area in a professional and gracious manner
- Utilize thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items
- Leverage knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical and service procedures
- Interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time
- Participate in daily pre‑shift meetings
- Adhere to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment, and maintain knowledge of the POS system
- Execute pre‑shift, post‑shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor
- Perform duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)
- Clean and maintain restaurant and workstations
- Maintain the highest level of hygiene standards, including but not limited to:
- Keep clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes
- Maintain clean and professionally styled hair and nails to avoid food contamination risks
- Exercise integrity with scheduling
- Punch in before and out after every scheduled shift
- Follow established procedure for schedule and shift changes
- Takes appropriate lunch breaks when applicable, punching accordingly
- Coordinate holiday, vacation, and any time off with management while considering the needs of the restaurant
What You Will Bring
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines
- Ability to work autonomously
- Motivated and results‑driven
- Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings (e.g., china, glass, flatware), food, and beverage as indicated by the kitchen ticket and the guidebook
- Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology
- Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time
- Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills

- Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds
- Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Benefits and Compensation
Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range is $21.53 – $26.91 per hour, and actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job‑related factors. This position is also eligible for bonus and long‑term incentive compensation awards.
