Role Overview

The Restaurant Server serves Neiman Marcus customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner consistent with the high standards set by Neiman Marcus.

Responsibilities

• Serve assigned seating section of dining area in a professional and gracious manner
• Utilize thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items
• Leverage knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical and service procedures
• Interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time
• Participate in daily pre‑shift meetings
• Adhere to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment, and maintain knowledge of the POS system
• Execute pre‑shift, post‑shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor
• Fulfill duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)
• Clean and maintain restaurant and workstation

Hygiene and Safety Standards

• Clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes
• Clean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risks
• Exercise integrity with scheduling (punch in/out, schedule changes, lunch breaks, holiday/vacation coordination)

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines
• Ability to work autonomously
• Motivated and results‑driven
• Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings, food, and beverage as indicated by the kitchen ticket and guidebook
• Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology
• Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time
• Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills

• Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Starting pay is within the range of $22.03 - $27.54 and may vary based on market, experience, and qualifications.
