Job summary

The Vanderbilt is seeking a Server to contribute to crafting extraordinary dining experiences. You will take orders, relay to kitchen, and ensure timely delivery while upselling beverages and menu items. You’ll interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and uphold luxury service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry.
• Good knowledge of food and wine. Experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred.
• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.

Responsibilities

• Take orders, relate with guests to ensure satisfaction with beverages and meals, and deliver items efficiently.
• Input orders into the POS system and handle billing accurately and quickly.
• Prepare and maintain restaurant equipment and keep areas clean and organized.
• Assist with upselling unique menu items to enhance guest experience.
• Ensure the restaurant/outlets are tidy and follow safe food handling procedures.
• Collaborate with team to maintain luxury service standards.
