Job summary

Florida Construction Connection in North Miami, FL is seeking an Assistant Superintendent who will support daily field operations on luxury hospitality, luxury high-rise residential, and custom estate projects under the guidance of the Superintendent.

You will coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, enforce safety, maintain schedules, document results, and help develop toward a future lead Superintendent, with emphasis on quality, communication, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field experience on commercial or high-end residential construction projects.
• Experience supporting a Superintendent through multiple phases of construction.
• Knowledge of structural, architectural, and MEP systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with daily management of construction activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and deliveries.
• Monitor daily progress and communicate field updates.
• Ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Help maintain project schedules and sequencing of work.
• Verify manpower requirements are being met.
• Perform daily quality inspections and address deficiencies.
• Maintain daily site safety observations and enforce OSHA standards.
• Represent the company professionally with owners and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate project records and assist with closeout documentation.
