A luxury hotel brand in Houston is seeking an accomplished Director of Catering to lead the launch of a new catering division. The ideal candidate must have over 5 years of experience in catering sales or event management, preferably within the luxury hospitality sector. Responsibilities include building the department from scratch, developing client relationships, and overseeing event planning. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $130,000.00 to $140,000.00 annually, plus incentives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in catering sales or event management within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment.
• Preferred to have Country Club experience as a Director of Catering.
• Strong track record of building or scaling successful catering or events operations.
• Deep knowledge of Houston’s event, social, and corporate markets.
• Proven ability to balance creative vision with business discipline.
• Passion for hospitality, design, and delivering experiences that exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and launch of the hotel’s catering department, establishing processes and service standards.
• Drive sales and revenue growth through proactive prospecting and client relationship management.
• Oversee all aspects of event planning, ensuring a seamless experience reflecting the hotel’s brand standards.
• Develop strategic partnerships to position the property as a top destination for luxury events in Houston.
