Job summary

Coury Hospitality is seeking an experienced Barista to deliver an elevated coffee experience within a luxury hotel environment. You will craft beverages, engage guests with warmth, and maintain an impeccable café setting.

You will prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, and seasonal beverages with precision, discuss flavor notes, and help train junior baristas when needed. Flexibility for early mornings and events is required.

Qualifications

• Prior barista experience in specialty coffee or luxury hospitality.
• Strong espresso and milk-texturing skills.
• Excellent communication and guest service abilities.
• High attention to detail and consistency.
• Calm, polished demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must obtain/state or local alcohol and food service certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warmth and brand-appropriate service.
• Offer personalized beverage recommendations with confidence.
• Maintain a calm upscale café atmosphere and anticipate guest needs.
• Handle guest requests with courtesy and efficiency.
• Prepare espresso, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to exacting standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of coffee origins, roasts, extraction, and milk texturing.
• Execute latte art and premium presentation.
• Prepare seasonal and non-coffee beverages with precision.
• Discuss coffee profiles, brewing methods, and flavor notes with guests.
• Recommend premium offerings, add-ons, and retail items naturally.
• Maintain accurate order entry and POS transactions.
• Keep the café and barista station pristine and organized.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, pastries, and retail items.
