Dover Street Market Los Angeles is seeking a Brand Manager to represent and develop the Phoebe Philo brand within the DSM environment. You will be the primary liaison between Phoebe Philo and DSM teams, ensuring the brand’s identity, product presentation, customer experience, and commercial objectives are upheld.

The role blends luxury retail leadership, brand management, client development, and operational execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in luxury fashion management, luxury retail, brand management, or a related field.
• Specific understanding of the Phoebe Philo aesthetic and client. Previous experience in selling high-end designer brands required.
• Strong luxury clienteling and relationship-building experience.
• Proven ability to achieve sales goals and manage commercial performance.
• Excellent knowledge of fashion, luxury, contemporary culture, and retail.
• Strong product knowledge and ability to communicate product stories effectively.
• Experience working with visual merchandising and retail operations teams.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple teams.
• Strong discretion and professionalism when working with high-profile clients and sensitive brand information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a brand representative for Phoebe Philo within Dover Street Market.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the brand’s creative vision, aesthetic, history, product assortment, and design philosophy.
• Ensure the Phoebe Philo brand is represented consistently and appropriately within the Dover Street Market environment.
• Act as a liaison between Dover Street Market management and Phoebe Philo teams.
• Communicate brand updates, product information, launches, initiatives, and expectations to the retail team.
• Protect the integrity and exclusivity of the brand while operating within the broader Dover Street Market environment.
• Deliver an exceptional, highly personalized luxury client experience.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local, national, and international clients.
• Build and manage a strong client book through proactive outreach, appointments, product recommendations, and follow-up.
• Develop a thorough understanding of individual client preferences, purchase history, and lifestyle.
• Support private appointments, special client events, collection launches, and other brand experiences.
• Introduce clients to the Phoebe Philo brand through thoughtful storytelling and exceptional product knowledge.
• Represent the brand with discretion, professionalism, and a high level of service.
• Identify opportunities to increase client engagement, retention, and sales.
• Take ownership of the commercial performance of the Phoebe Philo business within Dover Street Market.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance against established targets.
• Analyze sales trends, product performance, sell-through, and customer behavior.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales and maximize the performance of the assortment.
• Partner with merchandising and management teams regarding product needs, inventory, replenishment, and assortment opportunities.
• Provide regular feedback on customer response, product performance, and market trends.
• Maintain strong awareness of the competitive luxury and contemporary fashion landscape.
• Maintain exceptional knowledge of all Phoebe Philo collections, products, materials, craftsmanship, and design details.
• Educate Dover Street Market staff on seasonal collections, key products, brand stories, and selling points.
• Conduct or coordinate product and brand training as needed.
• Ensure team members are equipped to communicate the brand's identity and product offering authentically.
• Stay informed on upcoming launches, deliveries, collection changes, and brand initiatives.
• Maintain exceptional standards across product presentation, fixtures, displays, signage, and merchandising.
• Support collection launches, seasonal changes, special installations, and product drops.
• Ensure the environment remains compelling, organized, and consistent with the brand's luxury positioning.
• Communicate visual and presentation needs to the appropriate Dover Street Market and Phoebe Philo teams.
• Partner with Dover Street Market management to ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the Phoebe Philo space.
• Monitor inventory levels, product movement, transfers, deliveries, and stock-related issues.
• Ensure merchandise is handled and presented according to luxury retail standards.
• Communicate operational issues and opportunities to appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation related to sales, clients, inventory, and brand initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Dover Street Market policies and procedures while maintaining Phoebe Philo brand standards.
• Provide regular updates to management regarding sales performance, client activity, product performance, and operational matters.
• Communicate customer feedback and market insights to Phoebe Philo and Dover Street Market teams.
• Identify emerging trends and opportunities within the store and broader luxury market.
• Participate in regular business reviews and planning meetings.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with all internal and external partners.
