Job summary

PERG online in New Orleans is seeking a Bellperson to deliver outstanding guest service by building relationships, anticipating needs, and providing personalized assistance. You will manage luggage, escort guests, and coordinate with Front Desk to ensure smooth arrivals and departures.

The role requires standing for long shifts, a polished appearance, and strong communication. Previous luxury hotel experience is preferred, with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Luxury hotel experience is required.
• Must be able to stand for the entire scheduled shift.
• Customer service oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Clear, concise written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain bell carts via cleaning and routine maintenance.
• Engage guests with friendly expressions and personalized service.
• Supervise the bell staff and ensure efficient duties.
• Assist in making restaurant and limousine reservations for guests.
• Deliver parcels, mail, and special deliveries to guestrooms.
• Keep the bell storage closet clean and organized.
• Follow up on guest complaints to ensure resolution.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for guest satisfaction.
• Direct guests to the Front Desk or meeting rooms and call taxis/shuttle as needed.
• Assist, retrieve, and load luggage for guests.
• Notify Front Desk and Guest Services of VIP arrivals.
• Train new bell staff on procedures and protocols.
• Maintain daily bell log for arrivals and departures.
• Send a daily shift information email; inventory radios and bell carts.
