Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Beauty Department team member to deliver personalized makeup and skincare experiences and drive sales both in-store and online. You’ll engage customers, apply makeup, analyze skin needs, and recommend products aligned with latest beauty trends and brand partners.

You will collaborate with the team to maintain a welcoming atmosphere, meet sales goals, and organize events and services while staying informed about trends and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.
• Excellent ability to connect with customers, proactively handle customer concerns and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application.
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Drive to achieve sales goals, with interest in using networking and technology.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses; recommend products based on customer goals.
• Collaborate with team to create a welcoming environment for all customers.
• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling; use selling tools including text and social media.
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store beauty events and services.
• Keep department organized and customer-ready; maintain knowledge of latest beauty trends.
• Build customer loyalty by opening Nordstrom Rewards accounts; manage sales, refunds, exchanges.
