Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a skilled Banquet Cook for JW Marriott Reston Station to contribute to luxury event service in Reston, VA. You will cook to specification, maintain quality, and work with a driven culinary team in a high-volume hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to stand long hours and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and portion standards, per server check.
• Start food items prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to over-prepare estimated needs.
• Date all food containers and rotate per Crescent standards; keep perishables at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine prep, freezer pull and line setup; assist in keeping buffet stocked.
• Return unused items to storage with proper cover/date labeling.
• Assist in identifying and correcting food cost problems and reducing waste per standards.
• Operate, maintain and clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, mixer, and other equipment.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
