Job summary

The Sun Rose Hotel in West Hollywood, CA is seeking a Banquet Captain for part-time shifts. You will coordinate and supervise banquet events, work with the Banquet Manager and staff to ensure first‑class service, and maintain safety and presentation standards for all functions.

Requirements include at least 2 years as a banquet captain in a hotel (luxury hotel preferred), California RBS and Food Handlers certifications, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as banquet captain in a hotel (Luxury hotel preferred).
• Must hold California RBS and Food Handlers certifications.
• English literacy in speaking, reading, and writing.
• Minimum of 2 years of banquet server experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises catered events based on client specifications and Banquet Event Order.
• Coordinates personnel requirements with F&B Managers, Banquet Manager, and Banquet Chef.
• Supervises banquet staff during all phases of a catered event.
• Ensures clear communication of expectations and service goals to staff.
• Assists in training, scheduling, and evaluating banquet service staff.
• Keeps banquet areas neat, safe, and properly groomed staff.
