Fashionphile in New York is seeking an Authentication Specialist to evaluate and authenticate pre-owned luxury handbags from brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Hermes, and more. You will document findings, stay current with trends, and contribute to brand authentication guides.

The role requires attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong communication. On-site at the Chelsea flagship with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule.

Qualifications

• Exceptional analytical skills and problem solving.
• Extreme attention to detail to prevent errors.
• Experience with luxury handbag brands is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough authentication assessments on high-end luxury handbags and accessories.
• Perform online research to discover facts and patterns related to authenticity and stay up to date with designer trends.
• Document and maintain accurate records of authentication findings.
• Create or assist in the creation of written and pictorial guides and documentation regarding brand authentication.
• Participate in group information sessions on special topics in authentication.
• Attend Fashionphile University Authentication and be certified on all brands we carry.
• This position is based fully on-site at our Chelsea, NY Flagship location.
• This shift is Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM; overtime may be required.
