Job summary

Fashionphile is seeking an Authentication Specialist to evaluate pre-owned luxury handbags and accessories from top brands. You will conduct thorough assessments, research authenticity trends, and document findings while contributing to brand guides and training sessions.

The role is fully on-site at our Chelsea, NY flagship with a Tue–Sat schedule (9:30 AM–6:00 PM). Prior luxury-brand experience and strong attention to detail are highly valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to research authenticity gaps.
• Extreme attention to detail to prevent errors in assessments.
• Experience with luxury handbag brands is a strong plus.
• Keen use of senses (vision, smell, touch) for authentication.
• Ability to communicate clearly and document findings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct authentication assessments on luxury handbags and accessories.
• Research trends and patterns related to authenticity.
• Document and maintain records of findings.
• Create guides and documentation on brand authentication.
• Participate in group sessions on authentication topics.
• Attend Fashionphile University Authentication and achieve brand certifications.
• On-site role at Chelsea, NY Flagship location; adhere to Tue–Sat shift 9:30 AM–6:00 PM.
